Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup butter (softened)

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg + 1 egg yolk

2 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180Β°C / 350Β°F.
  2. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy.
  4. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto a lined baking tray.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Tips

Chill the dough 30 minutes for thicker cookies.

Add walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.

Slightly underbake for a softer center.

Perfect with cold milk or coffee.
