Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich

Ingredients:
3 pounds pork shoulder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
8 hamburger buns
Coleslaw for serving

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Rub the pork shoulder with paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.

Place the pork in a roasting pan and cover tightly with foil. Roast for about 4–5 hours until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.

In a saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for about 5 minutes.

Remove the pork from the oven and shred it using two forks.

Pour the vinegar sauce over the shredded pork and toss until well coated.

Pile the pulled pork onto hamburger buns and top with coleslaw.

Serve warm with chips, fries, or baked beans.
