Servings: 2 | Total Time: 20 mins
Ingredients
- Pasta: 1 pack (250g) of Cheese Tortellini (or any pasta like Penne or Fettuccine).
- Chicken: 2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips.
- The Sauce:
- 1 cup Cooking Cream (or 1 cup milk mixed with 1 tsp of flour).
- 1 tbsp Butter or Oil.
- 2 cloves of Garlic, minced.
- Seasoning: Salt and Black Pepper to taste.
- Optional: Shredded Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese for extra creaminess.
Simple Instructions
- Boil the Pasta: Cook the tortellini in a pot of boiling salted water until tender (check the package for timing). Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Chicken: In a large pan, heat the butter or oil. Add the chicken strips, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Make the Sauce: In the same pan, add the minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds until you smell the aroma. Pour in the cooking cream (or the milk/flour mixture).
- Thicken: Let the cream simmer on low heat for 2–3 minutes until it starts to thicken slightly. If using cheese, stir it in now until melted.
- Mix Together: Add the cooked pasta into the pan with the chicken and sauce. Toss everything together for 1 minute so the pasta soaks up the flavors.
- Serve: Garnish with a little dried parsley or extra pepper if you like.
Quick Tip:
If the sauce gets too thick while mixing, just add a splash of the water you used to boil the pasta. It will make the sauce silky and smooth again instantly.
