Crispy Cheesy Garlic Butter Rounds

Perfect as a side dish for pasta, a party appetizer, or a quick snack!

Ingredients

  • Bread: 1 French baguette or 4-5 large hot dog buns (sliced into 1-inch thick rounds).
  • Butter: 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened.
  • Garlic: 3-4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder).
  • Cheese: 1 cup shredded Mozzarella or Parmesan (or a blend of both).
  • Herbs: 1 tbsp fresh parsley or dried oregano/basil.
  • Seasoning: A pinch of salt and black pepper to taste.

Instructions

  1. Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Lightly grease a muffin tin or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Assemble: * Place your bread rounds into the muffin tin slots (this helps them keep a perfect circular shape and stay crispy).
    • Spread a generous amount of the garlic butter over each slice.
    • Top each piece with a handful of the shredded cheese.
  4. Bake: Place in the oven for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly toasted.
  5. Serve: Let them cool for 2 minutes so the cheese sets, then serve warm!
