- βFlavor: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- βMix-ins: 1 to 2 cups chocolate chips (and 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans if you like the “Grandma” style).

- βPrep: Preheat your oven to 175Β°C (350Β°F). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- βCombine: In a large bowl, stir the melted butter and brown sugar together until smooth.
- βMix: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in the vanilla.
- βDry Ingredients: Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until just combined (don’t overmix!).
- βFold: Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.
