Vanilla, fruit and caramel

1) Vanilla Custard

Ingredients
• 2 cups milk
• 3 tbsp sugar
• 2 tbsp custard powder
• 2 egg yolks
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat 1½ cups milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix remaining ½ cup milk with custard powder, egg yolks, and sugar. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Slowly pour the mixture into the hot milk while stirring continuously.
  4. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until thick and creamy.
  5. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
  6. Cool slightly and refrigerate before serving.

2) Fruit Custard

Ingredients
• 2 cups milk
• 4 tbsp custard powder
• ¼ cup sugar
• 1 cup mixed fruits (apple, banana, grapes, mango)
• ½ tsp vanilla essence

Instructions

  1. Heat 1½ cups milk in a pan.
  2. Mix custard powder with ½ cup cold milk until smooth.
  3. Add sugar to the hot milk and stir.
  4. Pour in custard mixture and cook until thick.
  5. Add vanilla essence and let it cool completely.
  6. Refrigerate, then mix in chopped fruits before serving.

3) Caramel Custard

Ingredients
• 2 cups milk
• ¾ cup sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ¼ cup sugar (for caramel)

Instructions

  1. Heat ¼ cup sugar in a pan until it melts and turns golden brown. Pour into a baking mold.
  2. Warm the milk slightly.
  3. Beat eggs and sugar together. Add warm milk and vanilla.
  4. Pour mixture into the caramel-lined mold.
  5. Bake in a water bath at 180°C (350°F) for 40–45 minutes.
  6. Cool, refrigerate, and invert onto a plate before serving.

4) Custard Trifle

Ingredients
• 1 cup prepared custard
• 1 cup cake pieces
• 1 cup mixed fruits
• 1 cup jelly (set and cubed)
• Whipped cream

Instructions

  1. In a glass bowl, add cake pieces as the first layer.
  2. Add a layer of custard.
  3. Add fruits and jelly cubes.
  4. Repeat layers if desired.
  5. Top with whipped cream.
  6. Chill for 1–2 hours before serving.

5) Custard Fruit Tart

Ingredients
• 1 tart shell
• 1 cup prepared custard
• 1 cup fresh berries
• 2 tbsp sugar glaze

Instructions

  1. Fill tart shell with prepared custard.
  2. Arrange fresh berries neatly on top.
  3. Brush with sugar glaze for shine.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

6) Chocolate Custard

Ingredients
• 2 cups milk
• 4 tbsp sugar
• 2 tbsp custard powder
• 2 tbsp cocoa powder
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat 1½ cups milk in a pan.
  2. Mix custard powder, cocoa powder, and sugar with ½ cup cold milk.
  3. Pour mixture into hot milk while stirring.
  4. Cook on low heat until thick.
  5. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  6. Cool and refrigerate before serving.
