1. Simple Syrup

Perfect for moistening cakes or sweetening cold drinks.

  • Ingredients:
    • ​1 cup Sugar
    • ​1 cup Water
  • Instructions: Combine in a saucepan, bring to a boil until sugar dissolves, then let cool.

2. Chocolate Syrup

  • Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder (Note: The image has a typo saying “12”, but 1/2 is the standard amount)
    • ​1 cup Sugar
    • ​1/2 cup Water
    • ​1 tsp Vanilla
    • ​Pinch of salt
  • Instructions: Whisk together over medium heat until smooth and slightly thickened.

3. Vanilla Sauce

  • Ingredients:
    • ​1 cup Heavy cream
    • ​1/3 cup Sugar
    • ​2 Egg yolks
    • ​1 tbsp Vanilla
    • ​Pinch of salt
  • Instructions: Heat cream and sugar; temper the egg yolks by adding a little warm cream to them first, then combine all back in the pan and stir until thickened.

4. Maple Glaze

  • Ingredients:
    • ​1 cup Powdered sugar
    • ​4 tbsp Maple syrup
    • ​1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • Instructions: Whisk all ingredients until smooth and glossy.

5. Lemon Glaze

  • Ingredients:
    • ​1 cup Powdered sugar
    • ​2–3 tbsp Lemon juice
    • ​1/2 tsp Lemon zest
  • Instructions: Stir together until you reach a pourable consistency.
