Soft. Fluffy. Perfect Dinner Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp warm water (45 ml)
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast (7 g)
  • ¼ tsp sugar
  • ¾ cup milk (180 ml)
  • ¼ cup butter (60 g)
  • ¼ cup sugar (50 g)
  • 1 tsp salt (5 g)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3–3½ cups flour (360–420 g)
  • Melted butter (optional)

Steps:

  1. Bloom yeast in warm water + ¼ tsp sugar (5–10 min).
  2. Warm milk + butter until almost melted.
  3. Mix sugar, salt, egg, milk, and yeast mix.
  4. Add 2 cups flour, stir smooth. Gradually add more. Rest 5 min.
  5. Knead 5 min until smooth. Rise 45–60 min.
  6. Punch down, divide into 18 balls.
  7. Place on greased sheet. Rise 30–45 min.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–13 min.
  9. Brush with butter if desired.
