Seasoning: 1 tsp smoked paprika, ½ tsp red chili flakes (optional), salt and black pepper to taste, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Instructions
Sear the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and brown the sausage rounds until they are golden and crisp on both sides. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the shrimp with a pinch of salt and paprika. Cook for 2–3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
Steam the Broccoli: Add the butter and garlic to the skillet, followed by the broccoli florets. Pour in 2 tablespoons of water and cover with a lid for about 3 minutes. This steams the broccoli so it stays vibrant green and tender-crisp.
Combine: Return the sausage and shrimp to the pan. Add the chili flakes and lemon juice. Toss everything together for 1 minute to let the flavors meld.
