Baked Creamy Tuscan Chicken

A one-pan masterpiece featuring juicy chicken breasts smothered in a garlic, herb, and sun-dried tomato cream sauce.

I. KEY INGREDIENTS

The Chicken:

  • 4 large Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste

The Tuscan Cream Sauce:

  • 1 ½ cups Heavy cream
  • ½ cup Sun-dried tomatoes (chopped, drained from oil)
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Dried Italian seasoning (or a mix of basil and oregano)
  • ½ cup Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella cheese (for the top)
  • 2 cups Fresh baby spinach (optional, for added color and nutrients)

II. INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prep the Chicken

​Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place the chicken breasts side-by-side in a large glass baking dish (as seen in the photo).

2. Create the Sauce

​In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil. Sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasonings. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

3. Thicken the Sauce

​Whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to stir for 2–3 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken slightly. If you are using spinach, stir it in now until it just starts to wilt.

4. The “Pour Over” (The photo step)

​Pour the hot cream sauce evenly over the raw chicken breasts in the baking dish. Use a wooden spoon to ensure the sun-dried tomatoes are distributed across all the pieces.

5. Bake

​Top the dish with the shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F) and the cheese on top is bubbly and golden brown.

6. Serve

​Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the sauce to thicken further.

  • Low-Carb: Serve over zucchini noodles or steamed asparagus.
  • Classic: Serve over a bed of fettuccine pasta or সাথে (with) garlic mashed potatoes to soak up that incredible sauce.
