1. Simple Syrup
Perfect for moistening cakes or sweetening cold drinks.
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- Instructions: Combine in a saucepan, bring to a boil until sugar dissolves, then let cool.
2. Chocolate Syrup
- Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Cocoa powder (Note: The image has a typo saying “12”, but 1/2 is the standard amount)
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- Instructions: Whisk together over medium heat until smooth and slightly thickened.
3. Vanilla Sauce
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 2 Egg yolks
- 1 tbsp Vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- Instructions: Heat cream and sugar; temper the egg yolks by adding a little warm cream to them first, then combine all back in the pan and stir until thickened.
4. Maple Glaze
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp Maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- Instructions: Whisk all ingredients until smooth and glossy.
5. Lemon Glaze
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Lemon zest
- Instructions: Stir together until you reach a pourable consistency.
