Ingredients
- For the Dough:
- 3 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour.
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
- 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast.
- 1 cup warm milk.
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened.
- 1 large egg.
- 1/2 tsp salt.
- For the Filling:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar.
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon.
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing).
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Add the flour, egg, softened butter, and salt. Knead for 8–10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour (or until doubled in size).
- Roll it Out: On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a large rectangle.
- Add the “Hug”: Brush the surface with melted butter, then sprinkle the mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the dough.
- Shape: Roll the dough up tightly starting from the short end. Place it into a greased loaf pan.
- Second Rise: Let it rest in the pan for another 30 minutes.
- Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until the top is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
