π§ Potato Gratin with Meatballs and Cheese π₯π
Ingredients:
5 medium potatoes
250g minced meatballs
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons heavy cream (or liquid cream)
Salt + pepper + seasoning to taste
Grated cheese (mozzarella or Edam)
Method:
- Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them with a little salt, pepper, and butter or heavy cream.
- In a pan, brown the onions with oil. Add the meatballs and season with salt, pepper, and seasoning. Let them cook until tender.
- In a greased ovenproof dish, place a layer of potatoes, followed by a layer of meatballs, then another layer of potatoes.
- Sprinkle the top of the gratin with grated cheese.
- Bake at 180Β°C until the top is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
