Ingredients

2 eggs.125 g of sugar.2 puff pastry sheets (pates feuilletees).125 g of softened butter (beurre mou).1 tsp of vanilla.125 g of almond powder.

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth.

Add Almonds:

Mix in the almond powder, one egg, and the vanilla extract until well combined.

Assemble: Lay out one puff pastry sheet on a baking tray. Spread the almond cream in the center, leaving a small border around the edges.

Seal: Place the second puff pastry sheet on top and press the edges firmly to seal them.

Bake: Brush the top with a second beaten egg for a golden finish. Score the top with a knife for decoration and bake until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
