🍴 Gratin with Meatballs, Zucchini, and Cheese
Ingredients:
300g meatballs marinated with garlic and spices
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 zucchini (courgettes), thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
200ml cooking cream
150g grated mozzarella cheese
50g Parmesan cheese (optional)
Salt + pepper + thyme or rosemary
Method:
- In a hot pan, fry the onion in the oil until softened.
- Add the meatballs and spices and let them brown.
- Add the tomato sauce and let the mixture infuse the flavor.
- In an ovenproof dish, spread a layer of zucchini, top with the meatballs, and sprinkle with cheese.
- Pour the cream and alternate layers (zucchini + kofta + cheese).
- Finally, add a generous layer of mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake at 180°C until the surface is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Serve hot with a light salad or a cup of tea/coffee ☕.
