Cheesy Sausage Biscuit Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 package Refrigerated flaky biscuits (or homemade buttermilk biscuits)
  • 1 lb (450g) Ground breakfast sausage (pork or beef)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar cheese (or slices)
  • 2 tablespoons Melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried parsley or honey for glazing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Biscuits: Bake the biscuits according to the package instructions until they are light golden brown. Let them cool slightly, then slice them in half horizontally.
  2. Cook the Meat: While the biscuits are baking, brown the ground sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
    • Tip: You can form the meat into small patties or keep it crumbled as shown in the picture.
  3. Assemble: Place the bottom half of the biscuits on a baking sheet. Top each with a generous amount of cooked sausage and a layer of shredded or sliced cheese.
  4. Add the Tops: Place the top half of the biscuits back on.
  5. Glaze: Mix the melted butter with garlic powder and brush the tops of the biscuits for extra flavor and shine.
  6. Final Bake: Return the sliders to the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 5–8 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and the tops are crispy.
  7. Serve: Serve warm. They pair perfectly with a side of maple syrup or honey mustard.

Enjoy your delicious sliders!
