For the Donuts:

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup warm milk
3 tbsp butter, melted
2 eggs
Vegetable oil for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting
For the Custard Filling:

2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
4 egg yolks
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla extract
Fresh strawberries for topping

Instructions:

Mix yeast with warm milk and let bloom for 5
minutes.
Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add
melted butter and eggs to the milk mixture
Mix wet into dry ingredients to form soft dough.
Knead for 8-10 minutes
Let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled.
Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness and cut 3-inch circles.
Let rise for 30 minutes.
Fry at 350 F or 2-3 min per side, then cool.
Dust with powdered sugar, pipe in custard, and top
with strawberry halves
